CHASING SUNRISE at Pasir Panjang's Rice Fields

By DITA ROHIMA - Monday, October 01, 2018

Waking up (not really) early, riding motorcycle, going to a place that I thought would be a perfect place to chase the sunrise. And I, was not disappointed.

I mean, just look..

A beautiful rice fields picture seem to be warmed by the morning sun's shine. And I was like Oh! Such a blessed moment to start the day. Felt so eye-comfort.

Few weeks ago, I went to my hometown. But I had prepared before about "I wanna go there, go there, beach, ride tripping, food, greenery, etc" and THIS. CHASING SUNRISE.

This photo is the most I love and the most eye-comfort.

A lot of people may tell you that the perfect place to chase sunrise is at mountains or hills (that's right). But I've found that rice fields was not bad. I made it. And I love.

OK so.. also I just want sharing about some practical information to get this.

don't forget about the self photo.

How to get there.

To be honest, I woke up not too early, 6.00 am and immediately prepared our motorcycle. It took around 15 minutes from home. Arrived when the sky was starting colored by the sun. But we still hadn't found the sun. Then we parked our motor at the empty space before we went down and walked around the rice fields till the middle in cold morning weather to find the Sun.

I suggest you to come earlier to enjoy more the morning and be able to prepare such like breakfast and a cup of hot coffee or tea at the edge of the rice fields.

And don't be afraid to go down and get your sandal, feet, or pants wet and dirty caused by mud. So dry season will be a perfect time to go. And wearing plastic boot shoes is actually a better choice.

You can imagine the way I took the photo.

What to bring.

  1. Good walking sandal (I suggest plastic boot shoes), a must because the wet and dirt path is quite steep, and gets mud at the rice fields.
  2. Sweater, don't forget about the morning weather in West Java. It's always be cold.
  3. Water, trust me you’ll need it!
  4. Snacks/breakfast, because you’ll want to stay there a while to soak up the view. Maybe some hot tea and gorengan for a proper morning?
  5. A camera, doesn't anybody need this one?

.... and get ready to enjoy the view, the fresh air, and a lot of morning blesses. Don't forget to always be grateful ⚘

Love the sky's gradient color.

I was so afraid and wonder about the caterpillar.

Tree : my best model.
Bonus: Me. just woke up bare face. Wonder? had I taken a bath? haha.
P.s , I'm sorry, I don't make any editing or adding some filter on these photos, cause I don't have time (lie, I'm too lazy currently, but want to share).

With Love,

Dita Rohima.
